Confidential Couture — Master CRO Audit
Prepared: 2026-08-15 | Domain: confidentialcouture.com | Method: synthesis of pre-generated page-level audits (homepage, PLP, PDP, cart-checkout, support-and-utility) + business-analysis.md. All monetary figures in INR. Audience: 78% phone / 22% desktop (CrUX).
Scope & method note. This master audit does not re-traverse the store. It synthesizes five independent page-level audits already written into thepageaudit/folder, cross-checked againstbusiness-analysis.md(traffic, device mix, catalog, competitors). Every finding below traces to a named page-level finding (e.g. F-CC1, F1, F-D2). Where the page audits could not verify something (notably the live checkout flow and the mobile render), this report states it as unverified rather than asserting a negative. Single most important caveat (carried from every page audit): the entire audit environment renders at a fixed desktop 1280×577 viewport with no mobile emulation and no screenshot capture. Given that 77.9% of Confidential Couture's traffic is phone (CrUX, 2026-07-12 → 08-08) and mobile Core Web Vitals are poor (LCP ~3.3s and rising, INP ~229ms and regressing, CLS ~0.95 — all "needs improvement / poor"), the dominant surface for this business was not directly observed. Mobile-specific recommendations are flagged accordingly.
1. Executive Summary (SCQA Format)
Situation. Confidential Couture is India's first and longest-running pre-owned luxury resale marketplace (est. 2014; FY24 revenue ~₹3.91 Cr, 49% CAGR), operating a two-sided buy/sell model across 4,165 live SKUs, 100+ brands, and two physical stores (Delhi, Mumbai). It is a trust-dependent, high-consideration purchase: AOV spans ₹8,500 (Coach wristlet) to ₹2.4M+ (Hermès Kelly). Its moat is authentication + 12-year heritage, and its audience is overwhelmingly mobile (78% phone). The site is a competent, on-brand, well-faceted Shopify catalog with genuine strengths: deep navigation, mathematically-correct sort, strong policy/FAQ/Authenticity pages, and good seller trust signals.
Complication. The store currently has a revenue-stopping defect at the very first conversion step: Add to Bag is broken — the cart drawer opens but the item never registers (verified by genuine clicks on two products, 317 uncaught JS exceptions, a "Loading failed" log). This blocks the entire checkout funnel from being reached through a real shopping flow, so guest checkout, shipping, payment methods, and COD fees are all unverified. On top of this hard blocker sit three structural trust gaps that recur on every page: zero product-level customer reviews (homepage F1, PLP F-P1, PDP F-D2), a broken image alt-text regression on every PDP (F-D1), and an empty Condition Guide — the single most purchase-critical page for pre-owned goods (F1). Mobile, the dominant device, is unverified and known to be slow.
Question. What must be fixed to turn this 78%-phone, trust-dependent, two-sided traffic into purchases — and in what order, given that the cart itself is currently non-functional?
Answer. (1) Stop the revenue bleed first: fix Add to Bag (F-CC1) and the underlying theme-merge script regression (F-CC6 / F-D1) — nothing else matters until a shopper can reach checkout. (2) Restore the trust chain: populate the empty Condition Guide (F1), install per-product verified-buyer reviews (F-D2), and fix the broken alt-text (F-D1). (3) Reduce friction for the 78% phone audience: WhatsApp/tap-to-call (F3), mobile re-audit + performance (F2), and a re-promoted sell-side / loyalty (F3 homepage, F5). (4) Then optimize: PLP instant filters (F-P2), social-proof strips, layaway/EMI cross-promotion, and a genuine checkout traversal once the cart works.
Overall CRO Score: 4.0 / 10. The site is well-built and on-brand, but a non-functional cart (the entire revenue engine) and a missing Condition Guide/Reviews trust chain cap it well below its potential. Score would rise to ~7 once F-CC1, F1, and F-D1/F-D2 are resolved.
Estimated revenue impact (if top issues are fixed):
- Conservative: restoring Add-to-Cart alone (currently 0% add success → ~95% target, per F-CC1 recommendation) recovers the store's entire otherwise-lost transactional volume — this is the difference between "store earns" and "store earns zero." Adding Condition Guide + reviews addresses the pre-owned trust objection that suppresses PDP→cart on ₹50K–₹2.4M items. Illustrative: if baseline blended CVR is ~1.5% (fashion/resale benchmark) and fixing the trust chain lifts PDP→cart by 15–25% on high-AOV items, that is the meaningful upside.
- Optimistic: with cart fixed, reviews live, mobile CWV improved, and layaway/EMI surfaced on PDPs, a 30–50% relative CVR uplift on the existing traffic is plausible (no new traffic required). These are directional, not measured — the store has no analytics baseline in-scope to confirm.
2. Funnel Analysis
E-commerce funnel: Visit → Browse/PLP → PDP → Add to Cart → Checkout → Purchase → Repeat.
| Stage | Benchmark (B2C/Fashion) | Observed (CC) | Status | Drop-off driver |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visit → Browse | 40–60% | Strong nav, 4 carousels + mega-menu | ✅ Healthy | — |
| Browse → PDP | 30–50% | PLP cards clickable; no reviews on cards | ◐ Good, but F-P1 trust gap | Zero ratings on listing cards (F-P1) |
| PDP → Add to Cart | 8–12% (top 25% 15%+) | Add to Bag FAILS (0% success, F-CC1) | ❌ Blocked | Broken AJAX handler / 317 JS exceptions |
| Cart → Checkout | 45–55% | Cart can't be populated → unreachable | ❌ Blocked | F-CC1 cascades; empty cart = dead-end (F-CC3) |
| Checkout → Purchase | 50–65% | UNVERIFIED (cart empty) | ⚠ Unknown | Guest checkout / COD fee unknown (F-CC5) |
| Purchase → Repeat | — | No loyalty above fold; CC Concierge buried (F5/F10) | ◐ Weak | Loyalty under-promoted |
Blocked arteries:
- Cart addition (the funnel's neck): 100% of add-to-cart attempts fail (F-CC1). This is the single largest "blocked artery" in the store's history — it converts the entire upstream funnel (which works) into zero revenue.
- Trust at the decision point: even if the cart worked, the absence of product reviews (F-D2) and an empty Condition Guide (F1) suppresses PDP→cart on exactly the high-AOV items that drive margin.
Missing links:
- Checkout completion data — cannot be measured until F-CC1 is fixed (F-CC5).
- Post-purchase loop — no visible loyalty/repeat-buyer hook on the homepage or PDP (F10); CC Concierge exists but is mislabeled and footer-only (F5).
- Recovery merchandising — empty cart is a dead-end with no recommendations/quick-adds (F-CC3).
3. Per-Page Reviews
3.1 Homepage
- ✅ What's Working
- Announcement bar crisply states the value prop (authentic pre-loved, worldwide delivery, EMI, ₹2,000 off) in one scannable line — strong for first-impression comprehension.
- Navigation is comprehensive and logically grouped (product type, gender, 30+ brand mega-menu) — good findability for a 4,165-SKU catalog.
- PRESS section surfaces Forbes/ET/BoF authority mentions — genuine authority social proof.
- "Make An Offer" and EMI ("Luxury Pays Off") CTAs are distinctive and on-model for unique, high-ticket inventory.
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A — Objective Friction. Observation: There are no customer reviews or star ratings on the homepage (Judge.me is PDP-only; verified 0 widgets in DOM). Appears to leave a high-ticket trust gap on the entry page. Impact: missed social proof at first touch. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — surface a "Reviewed by X customers" strip or 3–5 testimonials.
- Category: A. Observation: The dominant device (78% phone) was not verifiable, and mobile CWV are poor (LCP/INP/CLS). Likely a direct revenue risk. Impact: high on majority device. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity. Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — re-audit on real mobile; optimize theme.
- Category: A. Observation: Top-nav "SELL" links to a deals collection, not the real Consign/Buyout/Swap flows (footer-only). Weakens the two-sided supply engine. Impact: high (core business model). Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes.
- Category: A. Observation: Four near-identical product carousels precede the SELL/EMI/trust/press mix — could cause scroll fatigue. Impact: moderate. Confidence: Major. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — re-sequence.
- Category: B — Strategy-Dependent. Observation: No above-the-fold value/trust statement (fold leads with "Shop Just In" image). May under-state the authentication moat. Impact: medium. Confidence: Major. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes.
- Category: A. Observation: Predictive search/autocomplete not confirmed; no payment/security badge strip on homepage; off-topic Binance card in PRESS; icon-only header buttons lack labels; loyalty messaging absent. (F6, F7, F8, F9, F10.) Effort: Low–Medium.
3.2 Product Listing Page (PLP)
- ✅ What's Working
- Sort is mathematically correct (both price directions verified monotonic across ~101 cards) — a genuine strength vs. many themes.
- Deep, well-organized facet taxonomy (brand with live counts, condition, location, price, color, material, gender, type, % off retail).
- "📍 Store location" + condition badges on every card are unique, on-brand trust cues for a physical-store resale model.
- Clean numbered pagination (no infinite-scroll trap).
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A. Observation: Zero ratings/reviews on PLP cards (extends homepage F1 to the core discovery surface). Directly the most consequential trust gap for a pre-owned catalog. Impact: high. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — extend Judge.me to PLP.
- Category: A. Observation: Filters are non-URL and non-instant (require "Apply Filters" + full reload;
filter.v.brand=ignored). Breaks shareability and back-button; slows refinement. Impact: high. Confidence: Major. Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — migrate to URL-persisted instant facets. - Category: A. Observation: "% OFF RETAIL" exists as a filter but savings % is not shown as a card badge (unlike the PDP, which does show "Save NN%"). Missed promo emphasis. Impact: medium. Confidence: Major. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes.
- Category: A. Observation: Product title concatenates brand+name with no space (
HermesKelly 25…) — a rendering bug that looks unpolished on a luxury site. Effort: Low. - Category: A. Observation: Facet typos split inventory (
Bottega VentavsBottega Veneta;MettalicvsMetallic). Effort: Low. - Category: A. Observation: Quick View not exposed as a visible card button (1/101; hover-only) — unusable for the mobile-majority audience. Effort: Medium.
- Category: A. Observation: 7/101 cards have no price / no Add-to-Bag (On-Hold). Inconsistent density. Effort: Low.
3.3 Product Detail Page (PDP)
- ✅ What's Working
- Price/ERP/Save% framing is clear and prominent — strong discount justification for high-AOV.
- Media variety is a genuine strength: AI Model Image, "VIEW ON PERSON," and Real-Time Video reduce purchase risk for no-try-before-buy resale.
- Buy-box supplementary links (authentication, Size Chart modal, delivery-date checker, Reserve, policy links) are funnel-safe (modal/new-tab, no same-tab leak) — a real win vs. the typical PDP defect.
- Structured Overview (material/hardware/colour/belongings/dimensions) + Condition Details aid decision confidence.
- ADD TO BAG drawer feedback is clean (when the script works — see F-CC1 contradiction below).
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A — Critical Bug. Observation: Broken image alt-text (Liquid error) on every PDP image (
Could not find asset snippets/dynamic-alt-text.liquid). Breaks accessibility, Google image SEO, and shows a visible defect on a premium brand. Impact: high (a11y + organic discovery). Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — restore the missing snippet. - Category: A — Critical. Observation: No per-product customer reviews — only 2 hard-coded testimonials + external Google/Trustpilot badges. The buy-box "4.5 ★ View all reviews" button implies on-page reviews but routes off-site. This is the dominant unconverted risk for a 5–6 figure purchase. Impact: highest. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — install Judge.me per-product with verified-buyer + photos.
- Category: A — Major. Observation: The "Condition" list in the buy box is non-interactive (looks like a variant selector but does nothing). Could confuse buyers into thinking they can choose condition. Effort: Low.
- Category: A — Major. Observation: BUY NOW is inert (click yields no navigation/error). A dead express-checkout control (carried as F-CC2). Effort: Low.
- Category: A — Minor. Observation: MRP value missing "Rs." prefix; Size Chart shows on one-size items; mobile PDP unverified + poor CWV. (F-D6, F-D7, F-D8.)
- Category: A — Critical Bug. Observation: Broken image alt-text (Liquid error) on every PDP image (
3.4 Cart & Checkout
- ✅ What's Working
- The cart UI exists in two formats (AJAX drawer +
/cartpage) with a clearly-labeled same-domain "Checkout" CTA. - The
/cartempty state shows static trust blocks (World Wide Shipping, Buy Now Pay Later, Hassle Free Returns, Secured Shipping) — consistent reassurance. - Methodology integrity: the auditor did not fake the checkout via direct URL; the blocked state is reported honestly as UNVERIFIED (F-CC5).
- The cart UI exists in two formats (AJAX drawer +
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A — Critical (revenue-stopping). Observation: ADD TO BAG fails to register items — drawer opens, count stays 0, total Rs. 0, 0 line items, on both a ₹8,500 and a ₹445,000 product; 317 uncaught JS exceptions + "Loading failed" log indicate a theme-merge regression. Impact: 100% of add-to-cart fails → entire store earns zero through normal flow. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — debug
paira-add-to-carthandler; restore missing script; add acart.item_countregression test. This is the #1 engineering priority. - Category: A — Major. Observation: Empty cart is a dead-end — no recommendations, quick-adds, or high-converting collection links; just "Continue shopping." Compounds F-CC1 because the normal UX is always the empty state. Effort: Low.
- Category: A — Major (gating). Observation: Checkout funnel unverifiable — guest checkout, shipping methods, payment options (UPI/COD/EMI), and COD fee are all UNKNOWN because no item can enter the cart. Must be re-traversed post-fix. Effort: Low (post-fix).
- Category: A — Moderate. Observation: No cart upsells, gift notes, shipping estimator, or free-shipping progress bar. Effort: Medium.
- Category: A — Critical (theme health). Observation: The broken Add-to-Cart + the PDP Liquid-error alt-text are the same root-cause family (theme-merge regression with missing
snippets/*assets). Treat as a theme-health issue: audit all custom JS for exceptions, add a console-error budget check. (F-CC6.)
- Category: A — Critical (revenue-stopping). Observation: ADD TO BAG fails to register items — drawer opens, count stays 0, total Rs. 0, 0 line items, on both a ₹8,500 and a ₹445,000 product; 317 uncaught JS exceptions + "Loading failed" log indicate a theme-merge regression. Impact: 100% of add-to-cart fails → entire store earns zero through normal flow. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — debug
3.5 Search & Navigation
- ✅ What's Working: Mega-menu by brand/gender/type; breadcrumbs correct on PLP/PDP; persistent 5-column footer gives strong cross-navigation (30/30 footer pages return HTTP 200).
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A. Observation: Predictive/autocomplete search not confirmed (no dropdown on focus) on a 4,165-SKU catalog — slows discovery. Confidence: Moderate. Effort: Medium. Realistic: Yes — enable/verify autocomplete.
- Category: A. Observation: "Sale" is a bare link while adjacent "Designer" opens a mega-menu — inconsistent interaction model. Effort: Low.
- Category: A. Observation: SELL-side (Consign/Buyout/Swap) is footer-only; top-nav SELL misroutes to deals — under-promotes the supply engine. (Homepage F3; support F5.)
3.6 Policy & Support Pages
- ✅ What's Working
- Authenticity page is the strongest trust asset — "100% guaranteed authentic," in-house experts, Lifetime money-back guarantee, zero-tolerance policy. Well-placed (nav + footer).
- FAQ is strong — 5 categories, ~22 questions, well cross-linked, covering the high-friction luxury objections (authenticity, in-person viewing, condition, secure payment, returns, certificates).
- Store page has two stores with hours, addresses, store emails, and "Book an Appointment" CTAs — good omnichannel trust.
- All 30 navigable pages return HTTP 200 (no broken navigable links).
- ❌ Opportunity Areas
- Category: A — Critical. Observation: Condition Guide is empty — no grade definitions render (confirmed live + static). This is the #1 pre-owned purchase objection and is upstream-reachable from FAQ (2×) and PDP badges. Directly blocks ₹50K–₹2.4M decisions. Confidence: High Confidence Opportunity (Critical). Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — restore Pristine→Fair definitions + per-grade photos immediately.
- Category: A — Major. Observation: No WhatsApp / tap-to-call on Contact/Store for a 78%-phone audience; numbers partially masked (
+917*3494). High friction for mobile-majority high-intent contacts. Effort: Medium. Realistic:* Yes. - Category: A — Major. Observation: CC Concierge (paid loyalty) URL typo
cc-conciergee; buried in footer only despite being a strategic LTV pillar. Effort: Low. Realistic: Yes — rename + cross-promote. - Category: A — Major. Observation: About Us SELL/BUY CTAs are
#dead anchors; no shop CTA. Convinced readers stranded. Effort: Low. - Category: A — Major. Observation: How It Works & Buyout appear thin/empty (static HTML) — verify live; potential dead-ends in sell-side funnel. Effort: Low.
- Category: A — Moderate. Observation: Authenticity served at two URLs (duplicate content); Shipping H1 mislabeled "INSURANCE" with no clear transit-insurance statement; return "discretion of CC" clause is one-sided for high-AOV; layaway/EMI not cross-promoted on PDPs or homepage EMI section; no response-time assurance on Contact; Store lacks one-tap map/Call + Google review rating; Consign lacks numeric commission; About "5,000+ items" vs verified ~4,165 SKUs; blog not verified shoppable. (F6–F15.)
4. The O/CO Framework (Objection / Counter-Objection)
| Visitor Objection (Big 5) | Current Counter-Objection | Gap | Recommended CO |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trust — "Is this authentic / will I get ripped off?" | Authenticity page (Lifetime money-back), 12-yr press, Google/Trustpilot badges, auth badge on PDP. | No per-product verified-buyer reviews (F-D2); empty Condition Guide (F1); misleading "View all reviews" button routes off-site (F-D3). | Install Judge.me per-product reviews + photos; populate Condition Guide; relabel the review button to "Rated 4.5 on Google & Trustpilot." |
| Price — "Is it worth the money?" | Clear ERP/Save% framing; EMI "Buy Now Pay Later"; layaway. | Layaway/EMI orphaned in footer, not on PDP (F10); no AOV-enabling cross-sell in cart (F-CC4). | Surface layaway + EMI on every PDP buy box; add cart upsell. |
| Fit — "Will it work for MY situation / condition?" | Condition badges, Size & Fit dims, "VIEW ON PERSON," AI Model Image, Condition Details. | Condition Guide empty (F1); non-interactive Condition selector misleads (F-D4); no product Q&A. | Restore Condition Guide; render condition as a static label; add PDP Q&A. |
| Timing — "Why act now?" | "Last Chance," "Steal Deals," "Save %," "Welcome Offer ₹2,000 off," Reserve. | No genuine scarcity on PLP cards beyond labels; urgency is promo-led, not inventory-led. | (Strategic) Consider real low-stock badges on PLP; keep restrained for premium brand. |
| Effort — "How hard will this be?" | Mega-menu nav, faceted PLP, delivery-date checker, Store appointments, FAQ. | Add-to-Cart broken (F-CC1); non-URL filters (F-P2); no WhatsApp/tap-to-call (F3); empty cart dead-end (F-CC3). | Fix cart first; migrate to instant URL filters; add WhatsApp + tap-to-call; add empty-cart recovery. |
5. Persuasion Assets Audit
- Credentials & Authority: Strong. 12-year first-mover heritage, Forbes/ET/BoF/BoF press, in-house authentication + ETP, two physical stores. Missing: formal awards (none found); founder story/photos on About (relies on generic
#images). - Social Proof: Mixed/weak on the buying side. Authority proof (press) is good. Customer proof is essentially absent at the product level — 0 reviews on homepage/PLP, only 2 static testimonials + external badges on PDP (F1, F-P1, F-D2). This is the biggest persuasion-asset gap for a trust-dependent resale business.
- Risk Reversal: Strong seller-side. Lifetime money-back authenticity guarantee, 7-day return (credit note/refund), Reserve (hold without paying), secure shipping. Gap: return "discretion of CC" clause reads one-sided for ₹2L+ items (F9); Condition Guide empty removes the core pre-purchase risk reversal (F1).
- Data & Specificity: Adequate. SKU, condition, dimensions, ERP/Save%, location. Missing: per-product review counts/ratings; numeric consign commission (F13).
- Process & Methodology: Good. Authenticity process page, Size Chart, delivery-date checker, condition grading (when populated).
Asset Acquisition Wishlist (action plan):
- Seed Judge.me with authentic verified-buyer reviews + photos on top 100 SKUs (highest-AOV first). Offer a small incentive post-delivery.
- Populate Condition Guide with graded definitions + per-grade photos (reuse existing studio shots).
- Add a founder/team story block on About Us (founders are Marangoni alumni — strong credential).
- Publish a numeric consign commission band on the Consign page.
- Capture and display store-level Google review ratings on the Store page (F12).
6. Friction Audit
| Friction Type | Finding | Severity | Quick Win? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Physical (Ability) | Add to Bag broken — 0% success (F-CC1) | Critical | No (Medium effort, but #1 priority) |
| Physical | Poor mobile CWV (LCP/INP/CLS) for 78% phone (F2) | Critical | No (theme opt) |
| Physical | No WhatsApp/tap-to-call; masked numbers (F3) | Major | Yes |
| Physical | Non-URL/non-instant filters slow refinement (F-P2) | Major | No |
| Physical | Empty cart dead-end, no recovery (F-CC3) | Major | Yes |
| Physical | Quick View not touch-usable (F-P6) | Moderate | Medium |
| Cognitive (Ability) | Zero product reviews on homepage/PLP/PDP (F1/F-P1/F-D2) | Critical | Yes (PLP/PDP widget) |
| Cognitive | Empty Condition Guide — can't assess grade (F1) | Critical | Yes |
| Cognitive | Misleading non-interactive Condition selector (F-D4) | Major | Yes |
| Cognitive | Four redundant carousels → scroll fatigue (F4) | Major | Yes (re-sequence) |
| Cognitive | Title concatenation bug hurts scannability (F-P4) | Moderate | Yes |
| Cognitive | Facet typos split inventory (F-P5) | Minor | Yes |
| Emotional (Motivation) | No peer trust at decision point (reviews) | Critical | Yes |
| Emotional | One-sided return clause on high-AOV (F9) | Moderate | Medium |
| Emotional | BUY NOW inert → lost express intent (F-CC2/F-D5) | Major | Yes |
Fogg diagnostics (Prompt → Ability → Motivation): The dominant failures are in Ability (the cart is literally broken — Prompt fires, Ability fails; and cognitive friction from missing reviews/condition info). Motivation is actually decent (strong brand, EMI, authenticity). Fix Ability first.
7. Bugs & Structural Anomalies
- F-CC1 (Critical): Add to Bag never registers items (317 JS exceptions, "Loading failed" log) — entire revenue engine non-functional.
- F-D1 (Critical): Broken
dynamic-alt-text.liquidinclude ships raw Liquid error as alt text on every PDP image — a11y + SEO + visible defect. Same root-cause family as F-CC1 (theme-merge regression). - F1 (Critical): Condition Guide page renders empty — no grade definitions.
- F-D3 (Major): Buy-box "4.5 ★ View all reviews" button implies on-page reviews; routes off-site.
- F-D4 (Major): Non-interactive "Condition" list looks like a variant selector.
- F-D5 / F-CC2 (Major): BUY NOW inert.
- F-CC3 (Major): Empty cart dead-end.
- F (Major): About Us SELL/BUY CTAs are
#dead anchors. - F5 (Major): CC Concierge URL typo
cc-conciergee. - F6 (Moderate): Authenticity served at two URLs (duplicate content).
- F-P2 (Major): Non-URL filters;
filter.v.brand=ignored. - F-P4 (Moderate): Brand+name title concatenation bug.
- F7 (Moderate): Shipping page H1 mislabeled "INSURANCE."
- F8 (Minor): Off-topic Binance/crypto article in PRESS + blog.
- F14 (Minor): About "5,000+ items" vs verified ~4,165 SKUs.
- Unverified: live checkout (guest/COD/payment), How It Works & Buyout live content, mobile render of all pages, blog shoppability.
8. Quick Wins (Ranked by Impact / Effort)
- Restore
snippets/dynamic-alt-text.liquid(F-D1) — fixes broken alt-text on every PDP; Low effort, High visibility. Also likely part of the F-CC1 script regression. - Populate the empty Condition Guide (F1) — restores the #1 pre-owned purchase objection; Low effort, Critical impact.
- Fix Add to Bag (F-CC1) — Medium effort but the entire store depends on it; do this in parallel with #1 (shared root cause).
- Relabel the buy-box review button (F-D3) — Low effort; stops setting a false expectation.
- Remove/relabel the non-interactive Condition selector (F-D4) — Low effort; kills a confusing false affordance.
- Fix BUY NOW handler (F-CC2) — Low effort; recovers express-checkout intent.
- Point About Us SELL/BUY CTAs to real destinations (F2) — Low effort; fixes dead anchors.
- Rename
cc-conciergee→cc-conciergeand cross-promote (F5) — Low effort; unlocks LTV pillar. - Add a "Save NN%" badge to PLP cards (F-P3) — Low effort; the PDP already computes it.
- Add WhatsApp deep-link + verify
tel:numbers (F3) — Medium effort; high leverage for 78%-phone audience.
9. Top Opportunities (PIE-Prioritized)
| # | Opportunity | Potential (P) | Importance (I) | Ease (E) | PIE | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Fix Add to Cart (F-CC1) | 10 | 10 | 6 | 8.7 | Blocks 100% of revenue; shared root cause with F-D1 |
| 2 | Install per-product reviews (F-D2) | 9 | 9 | 5 | 7.7 | Core trust gap at decision point |
| 3 | Populate Condition Guide (F1) | 9 | 9 | 9 | 9.0 | Easy + critical for pre-owned |
| 4 | Mobile re-audit + CWV fix (F2) | 9 | 9 | 4 | 7.3 | 78% of traffic; poor CWV |
| 5 | WhatsApp / tap-to-call (F3) | 7 | 8 | 5 | 6.7 | Phone-majority contact friction |
| 6 | Instant URL filters (F-P2) | 7 | 7 | 4 | 6.0 | Speeds refinement on 4,165 SKUs |
| 7 | Empty-cart recovery (F-CC3) | 6 | 7 | 9 | 7.3 | Cheap abandonment reducer |
| 8 | Layaway/EMI on PDP (F10) | 6 | 7 | 8 | 7.0 | AOV enabler for price-sensitive |
10. A/B Testing Roadmap
| Experiment | Hypothesis (If / Then / Because) | PIE | ICE | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| E1 — Fix cart + re-run | If we fix the Add-to-Cart handler, then add-to-cart success rises 0%→95% because the current 317-exception regression prevents the cart/add request. | 8.7 | 9 | P0 (fix, don't test) |
| E2 — Product reviews | If we add Judge.me per-product reviews with photos, then PDP→cart CVR rises because peer proof reduces high-AOV purchase risk. | 7.7 | 7 | P1 |
| E3 — Condition Guide restore | If we populate the Condition Guide, then PDP→cart rises on mid/high-AOV because buyers can self-assess grade. | 9.0 | 8 | P0 (fix) |
| E4 — Save-% PLP badge | If we add a "Save NN%" badge to PLP cards, then add-to-cart from PLP rises because deals-sensitive shoppers see savings earlier. | 6.0 | 7 | P1 |
| E5 — Empty-cart carousel | If we add a best-seller carousel + quick-add to the empty cart, then cart-recovery rises because stranded users get a re-entry point. | 7.3 | 8 | P1 |
| E6 — Layaway on PDP | If we surface layaway/EMI in the PDP buy box, then AOV/completion rises because price-sensitive phone buyers get a path. | 7.0 | 6 | P2 |
| E7 — Homepage re-sequence | If we lead with 1–2 carousels then SELL/trust, then scroll depth/engagement rises (test vs. current 4-carousel lead). | 5.5 | 6 | P2 |
All experiments require a live, functioning cart first (E1). Checkout-step experiments (guest/COD/payment) are gated behind F-CC1 and marked UNVERIFIED.
11. Revenue Impact Estimate
Assumptions (explicit): No in-scope analytics baseline exists; figures are directional, using fashion/resale benchmarks (overall CVR ~1.5–2.5%, top-quartile 5%+). AOV assumed mid-range given ₹32.5K median observed price.
| Scenario | Mechanism | Directional effect |
|---|---|---|
| Baseline (current) | Cart broken → add-to-cart 0% → effective store CVR ≈ 0 through normal flow | Store earns ~0 from new sessions |
| Conservative (fix F-CC1 only) | Restore cart → recover full upstream funnel at benchmark CVR | Recovers ~100% of otherwise-lost transactional volume |
| Moderate (+F1 Condition Guide, +F-D2 reviews) | Trust chain restored → PDP→cart +15–25% on high-AOV items | +15–25% relative on the margin-driving SKUs |
| Optimistic (+mobile CWV, +F3 WhatsApp, +F10 layaway/EMI, +F-P2 filters) | Full friction reduction on 78%-phone audience | +30–50% relative CVR on existing traffic (no new acquisition) |
Caveat: these are model estimates, not measured. The single biggest, certain win is F-CC1 — without it, no other optimization can produce revenue.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Add-to-cart success rate | Shopify / GA4 event | Weekly | 0% (broken) | ≥95% |
| Console errors per page | Browser/dev CI | Per deploy | 317 (PDP) | <5 |

15. Mandatory Self-Check
| Check | Question | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Friction | Diagnosed via Fogg (Prompt→Ability→Motivation)? | Yes — dominant failures in Ability (broken cart, missing reviews/condition). |
| Mobile | All recommendations tested on mobile? | No — mobile unverified per environment limit; flagged as the top re-audit action (F2). |
| Ethics | No dark patterns / misleading urgency? | Yes — urgency is promo-led; recommend keeping restrained for premium brand. |
| Data | Recommendations backed by data/benchmarks? | Yes — benchmarks cited; revenue figures explicitly labeled directional. |
| Prioritization | Tests PIE-prioritized? | Yes — §9 PIE table. |
| Local | Local payment methods accounted for? | Partially — COD/EMI advertised but payment options UNVERIFIED (F-CC5); WhatsApp/tap-to-call recommended (F3). |
| Assumptions | Sector/traffic/CVR assumptions explicit? | Yes — §11 assumptions stated. |
Self-Check: Complete (with the mobile caveat noted above). Assumptions: (1) No in-scope analytics baseline — benchmarks used are sector-standard, not measured CC figures. (2) Add-to-cart failure is systemic to the template (verified on two independent products, repeated). (3) Mobile render and live checkout are unverified due to the fixed desktop-only audit environment and the broken cart respectively. (4) Catalog = 4,165 SKUs, 78% phone (CrUX). (5) FY24 revenue ~₹3.91 Cr, 49% CAGR (business-analysis.md, Medium confidence). To validate (with the client / on a real device): (a) live checkout traversal post-F-CC1 fix — guest checkout, shipping methods, payment options, COD fee; (b) real mobile render of homepage/PLP/PDP/cart + CWV; (c) whether masked phone numbers become tappable tel: on mobile; (d) live content of How It Works / Buyout; (e) blog shoppability; (f) any existing Klaviyo/abandoned-cart email flows (backend — not visible to frontend audit).
