Being Human Clothing — Content Strategy & AI SEO (AEO/GEO) Plan
Prepared 2 September 2026. Built on the e-commerce business analysis (business-analysis.md), live sitemap/blog inspection (blogs.xml, blog.html, prodpage.html, story.html), and SERP verification via web_search (India, hl=en). Every ranking claim below is grounded in a live search result captured during this run. Keyword search-volume figures are NOT fabricated — see Methodology (Serper credits unavailable); demand is inferred from SERP competition and flagged where unverified.
1. Executive Summary
Being Human Clothing (BHC) runs a Shopify D2C storefront with 18 published blog posts, every one a styling/advice article aimed at a fashion-curious, value-driven Indian audience (95.6% mobile, 18–35 skew, Salman Khan halo). The blog is a genuine asset — but it is essentially undiscoverable.
The headline finding (verified this run): Of 18 themes searched, BHC ranks on page 1 of Google India for only two of its own existing posts (how to style men's shirts → pos 2, best t-shirt fabric for indian weather → pos 3) and its exact brand name. It is absent from the top 10 for every high-intent, commercial, comparison, sustainability, occasion, and brand-story query we tested — even queries it has already written about ("best denim brands in india", "oversized vs polo t-shirt", "conscious fashion brands india", "salman khan clothing brand").
So this is not a "you have no content" problem. It is a discoverability + authority + AI-visibility problem. The brand has the most ownable story in Indian fashion — celebrity founder + a real charitable Foundation — yet when someone asks ChatGPT "which clothing brand donates to charity?" or Google "sustainable jeans India", BHC's authoritative content is not there to be cited.
Top opportunities (priority order):
- P0 — Fix the foundation (technical + E-E-A-T): Add
BlogPosting/FAQPage/HowToschema, author bylines + bios, "Last updated" dates, source citations, and real internal links on all 18 existing posts. Quick, high-leverage, mostly wins back rankings the content already deserves. - P0 — Build the Conscious & Cause-Led pillar. This is the brand's defensible moat and the biggest whitespace. Competitors (Good On You, OZiSS, consciousfashion.co) rank for "conscious fashion brands India" with zero BHC presence.
- P1 — Build the Being Human Story / Philanthropy pillar. Owns the "Salman Khan brand", "being human foundation charity", "celebrity clothing brand" queries that currently go to Indian Express / LiveMint / YouTube.
- P1 — Fill high-intent decision gaps: "how to choose jeans", "best denim brands India", "oversized vs polo", "linen shirts", "minimal wardrobe" — all lost to listicles and marketplaces.
- P2 — Seasonal/occasion engine (Valentine's, festive winter, party, office) timed 4–6 weeks ahead.
AI bot access is already healthy (robots.txt allows GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended), and llms.txt + agents.md already exist — so the brand is eligible to be cited. The work is making the content worth citing.

2.2 What's working
- Real publishing cadence — 18 posts, most dated 2026, active through Aug 2026.
- On-topic for the catalog — shirts, tees, denim, sweatshirts, linen, western tops all map to hero SKUs (men's denim, graphic tees, shirts per business analysis).
- Two posts already rank — proof the domain has authority potential once structure is fixed.
- Mobile-native, India-first tone — matches the 95.6% phone / 18–35 audience.
2.3 What's broken (the discoverability gap)
- No E-E-A-T signals. Posts carry generic
Articleschema (verified inblog.htmlJSON-LD:Article,Organization,Person,WebPage— noBlogPosting, noAuthorbio, nodateModified). No visible byline, no author bio, no "last updated" date, no outbound citations/sources. - No FAQ / HowTo schema. Every guide is a prose list; zero
FAQPageorHowTomarkup — so Google AI Overviews and Perplexity cannot extract clean Q&A blocks. - Thin internal linking. The blog listing links to only 4 collections (men-jeans, men-shirts, men-sweatshirts, women-jeans). Individual posts do not cross-link to each other or deep-link to relevant PDPs/collections in a structured way.
- Bulk-publishing spike, uneven depth. 8 of 18 posts landed in a single week (5–9 June 2026) — a quality/consistency risk and a possible thin-content signal.
- No pillar architecture. Posts are孤岛 (orphaned topics), not clustered under pillar pages with hub-and-spoke linking.
- No reviews → no trust schema. Product pages have
Product+Offer+Brandschema but noaggregateRating(verified — consistent with "no on-site reviews" in business analysis). No social proof for AI or humans. - No machine-readable brand narrative for AI.
llms.txtexists but is Shopify auto-generated and commerce/agent-shopping only — it does not summarize the brand story, sustainability claims, or Foundation, so an AI agent asked "tell me about Being Human Clothing" has nothing authoritative to cite from the brand's own files.
2.4 AI-bot accessibility (verified in robots.txt)
User-agent:→Allow: /(default allow). NoDisallowfor GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, anthropic-ai, Google-Extended, Bingbot. → The site is crawlable by every major AI engine*. This is a green light, not a blocker.llms.txt(200,text/markdown) andagents.md(200) already present — extend, don't create from scratch.
3. Keyword Research (SERP-verified)
Ranking status verified live via web_search (India). Volume is not quantified — Serper.dev credits were exhausted this run (HTTP 400 "Not enough credits"); demand is inferred from SERP competition (a crowded SERP of listicles/publishers = proven demand). Treat "Vol" as qualitative.
Legend: Rank = BHC's current Google India position (✓ = page-1 present, ✗ = absent top 10). Diff = competition difficulty (L/M/H). Intent = I=Informational, CI=Commercial Investigation, T=Transactional, N=Navigational. Pri = P0/P1/P2.

3.1 Expansion long-tail (derived from the verified SERPs' related searches — demand proxy, unverified volume)
- Fit/size: "men's jeans fit guide india", "slim vs straight vs tapered jeans", "how should jeans fit ankle", "t-shirt size chart india", "how to find your body type men's fashion"
- Fabric/care: "cotton vs polyester t-shirt india heat", "how to wash denim to keep color", "breathable fabrics indian summer office", "does linen shrink"
- Conscious: "recycled denim brands india", "clothing brands that donate to charity india", "plantable seed tag clothing", "ethical cotton t-shirt india", "what is conscious fashion"
- Occasion: "office wear for men without suit", "what to wear to a friend's wedding casual", "raksha bandhan outfit men", "diwali outfit ideas men 2026", "date night outfit men winter"
- Comparison: "being human vs wrign", "hrx vs being human which is better", "being human vs roadster jeans", "luxury vs affordable denim india"
- Celebrity/pop: "salman khan being human artwork tee", "being human disney marvel collection", "bollywood celebrity clothing brands india"
4. Competitor Content Gap Analysis
| Competitor | Content presence | Where BHC loses | BHC counter-move |
|---|---|---|---|
| HRX (Hrithik Roshan) | Fitness/cause-led; thin standalone blog; Myntra-native | "being human vs hrx", general cause-led queries | Build the cause-led story pillar BHC already owns; add comparison page |
| Roadster (Myntra house brand) | No standalone blog | None directly — but wins on Myntra native discovery | Out-content on style + schema; capture "best denim brands" lists |
| SASSAFRAS / Western trend blogs | Active trend blogs; rank for "western tops", "best brands" | "western tops", "conscious fashion brands" | Women's styling cluster + conscious pillar |
| Listicles (Grabon, magicpin, consciousfashion.co, goodonyou.eco) | Dominate "best denim brands India", "conscious fashion brands India", "sustainable denim" | All buyer-intent list queries | (a) Earn citations via genuine sustainability data; (b) publish BHC's own "cause-led / sustainable brands India" pillar to compete head-on |
| Levi's / Zara / Cosmopolitan | Authoritative fit guides | "how to choose jeans", "linen shirts" | Publish a India-specific, body-type fit guide with BHC products |
| Wikipedia / Indian Express / LiveMint / YouTube | Own the "Salman Khan brand" / "Being Human Foundation" narrative | Brand-story & philanthropy queries | Publish authoritative Founder/Foundation hub BHC controls; pursue Wikipedia entity accuracy |
Net gap: Competitors out-publish and out-structure BHC on every non-branded query. BHC's only durable edge is the story (celebrity + charity) — and it has not turned that into citable content.
5. Content Pillar Architecture
Six pillars, each with a pillar page (hub) + cluster posts (spokes) + defined internal linking. Pillars are ordered by defensibility (brand-owned moat first).
P1 — Style & Styling Guides (strengthen existing)
- Pillar: "The Being Human Style Hub — Men's & Women's Outfit Guides" (evergreen hub, 2,000+ words).
- Cluster (existing, optimize): shirts guide (#1), crew-neck tees (#8,#15), track pants (#6), western tops (#9), party shirts (#7), styling mindset (#14,#16).
- Cluster (new): "How to style denim jackets", "Monsoon styling India", "Layering for Indian winters".
- Internal link: every post → pillar + 2–3 relevant collection/PDP links.
P2 — Fit, Fabric & Care (decision support → fills lost queries)
- Pillar: "The Denim & Fit Bible: Find Your Perfect Pair" (targets "how to choose jeans", "best denim brands India").
- Cluster (new): jeans fit guide (slim/straight/tapered for Indian body types), "oversized vs polo" comparison (upgrade #12), t-shirt fabric guide (upgrade #11), linen shirts guide (upgrade #10), "how to wash denim", minimal wardrobe (#17 → expand).
- Internal link: → men-jeans / women-jeans / men-t-shirt collections; → P1 hub.
P3 — Conscious & Sustainable Fashion (DEFENSIBLE MOAT)
- Pillar: "Conscious Fashion Made in India: What 'Fashion with a Heart' Really Means" (targets "conscious fashion brands india", "sustainable jeans india").
- Cluster: Conscious Denim (upgrade #5 with citations + data), recycled-denim explainer, seed-tag / plantable packaging story, ethical cotton explainer, "clothing brands that give back" (cause-led list — competes with listicles), care-to-last guide.
- Proof to publish: recycled-fibre %, plastic-bottle-to-denim process, YODA NGO support, Foundation contribution — specific numbers + sources (Princeton GEO: statistics +37–40% citation lift).
P4 — The Being Human Story & Philanthropy (AI-VISIBILITY MOAT)
- Pillar: "The Being Human Story: Salman Khan, The Foundation & Fashion That Does Good" (targets "salman khan clothing brand", "being human foundation charity").
- Cluster: Founder origin (painted-tee story), Being Human Foundation (education + healthcare, since 2007), how royalties fund the charity, Disney/Marvel collab story, annual "Bhai Ka Birthday" campaign, celebrity capsule artwork.
- Why: Owns the narrative currently held by Indian Express / LiveMint / YouTube; prime ChatGPT/Perplexity citation target for "which brands donate to charity".
P5 — Occasions & Seasonal
- Pillar: "Outfits for Every Indian Occasion" (evergreen hub).
- Cluster: Valentine's (#3 upgrade), festive winter (#2 upgrade), office wear (new), Raksha Bandhan / Diwali (new, seasonal), date-night (new), wedding-guest casual (new).
- Cadence: publish 4–6 weeks before each festival (see §8).
P6 — Celebrity & Pop-Culture Fashion (distinctiveness)
- Pillar: "Bollywood-Inspired Everyday Style" (light, shareable, social-fuel).
- Cluster: Salman Khan capsule drops, Disney/Marvel collab styling, "celebrity clothing brands India" comparison, trend-vs-reality (#13 upgrade).
- Link: → P4 (story) and social (Instagram 1M, YouTube 41K).
Internal-linking architecture (hub-and-spoke): Pillar page ↔ each cluster post ↔ 2–4 relevant collection/PDP pages. Cross-pillar: P3 conscious → P4 foundation; P1 style → P2 fit; P5 occasion → P1 style. Add a "Related reads" module + breadcrumb BreadcrumbList schema.
6. Content Recommendations (priority briefs with AEO patterns)
Each brief below must ship with the AEO block patterns from §7 (definition, step-by-step, comparison table, FAQ, statistic-with-source, self-contained answer).
P0-A — Re-optimize the 2 ranking posts + 4 near-misses (weeks 1–3)
- Targets: #1 shirts guide, #11 t-shirt fabric (ranking); #4 denim, #5 conscious denim, #10 linen, #12 oversized/polo, #17 minimal (written, not ranking).
- Actions: add FAQPage schema (8–10 natural Q&As), author byline + bio, "Last updated" date, 3+ internal links to collections/PDPs, 1–2 cited statistics, comparison table where relevant. Goal: recover rankings the content already earned.
P0-B — Conscious Fashion pillar (pillar + 3 cluster), weeks 3–8
- Highest business value: owns the brand's only defensible differentiator. Publish with hard numbers (recycled-fibre %, Foundation beneficiaries) + sources.
P0-C — Being Human Story pillar (pillar + 4 cluster), weeks 4–10
- Controls the narrative; the single biggest AI-citation opportunity.
P1-A — Denim & Fit Bible pillar (weeks 5–9)
- Directly attacks "how to choose jeans" + "best denim brands India" (currently lost to Levi's/listicles). India-specific body-type fit guide + BHC product embeds.
P1-B — Comparison content (weeks 6–10)
- "Oversized vs Polo", "Being Human vs HRX/Wrogn/Roadster", "Slim vs Straight vs Tapered jeans", "Cotton vs Polyester for Indian heat" —Comparison tables (AEO-optimized) for "X vs Y" queries.
P2 — Occasion/seasonal cluster (rolling, see §8).
7. AI SEO / AEO / GEO Recommendations
7.1 Structure — make every piece extractable
For each post add: a definition block (40–60 words) answering "What is X?" in paragraph 1; a step-by-step / numbered block for "how to" queries; a comparison table for "X vs Y"; a pros/cons block for evaluation queries; an FAQ block (8–12 natural-language Q&As, 50–100 words each); and self-contained answer blocks that read sensibly without the surrounding article.
7.2 Authority — make it citable (Princeton GEO boosts)
- Cite sources (+40%): link to Being Human Foundation reports, recycling-process docs, NGO (YODA) pages.
- Add statistics (+37%): e.g. "% of proceeds to Foundation", "X plastic bottles → 1 pair of recycled denim", "11,581 SKUs".
- Authoritative tone (+25%) + clarity (+20%): named authors with credentials/bio on every post; "Last updated" date visible.
- Avoid keyword stuffing (–10%): write for humans + AI, not crawlers.
7.3 Schema markup strategy (per content type)
| Type | Schema | Status now | Action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blog posts | BlogPosting + Author(Person) + dateModified | generic Article only | Upgrade all 18 |
| Guides / how-to | HowTo | none | Add to fit/fabric/care posts |
| Q&A | FAQPage | none | Add to every post |
| Pillars | Article + BreadcrumbList | none | Add |
| Products | Product+Offer+Brand | present, no aggregateRating | Install reviews app → add aggregateRating (also lifts human CRO) |
| Organization | Organization | present | Add Foundation entity + sameAs social |
7.4 Machine-readable files (already exist — extend)
llms.txt(currently commerce-only): add a# Brand & Contentsection summarizing the Foundation story, sustainability claims with figures, and links to the P3/P4 pillar pages — so AI agents summarizing the brand cite BHC's own words.- Consider a
/pricing.md(discount tiers, COD/BNPL, shipping/returns) for agent shopping clarity.
7.5 AI-bot access (verified OK)
robots.txt already allows GPTBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Bingbot. No change needed — keep it; do not add AI-crawler disallows.
7.6 Platform-specific tactics
- Google AI Overviews: E-E-A-T + FAQ/BlogPosting schema + author bios + cited sources.
- ChatGPT: publish monthly refreshes; define the brand narrative so it's the sourced answer for "clothing brand that donates to charity".
- Perplexity: FAQPage schema + atomic, self-contained paragraphs; PDF/guide assets.
- Gemini: strengthen entity via Wikipedia accuracy + Google index; link Foundation entity.
- Copilot: Bing index + sub-2s mobile LCP (business analysis flagged phone LCP ~2,500 ms mid-2026 — fix for both CRO and AI).
- Claude: specific numbers + named sources; verify Brave Search visibility.
7.7 AI-visibility self-audit checklist (apply per priority page)
definition in ¶1 ✓ · self-contained blocks ✓ · stats w/ sources ✓ · comparison tables ✓ · FAQ schema ✓ · author + bio ✓ · updated ≤6mo ✓ · heading = query phrasing ✓ · AI bots allowed ✓ · load <2s ✓ · visible pricing ✓ · working policy links ✓ · correct social links ✓.
8. Editorial Calendar (6 months, 2–4 posts/mo)
Phase 1 — Quick wins (Month 1–2): Re-optimize 7 existing posts (P0-A): add FAQ/schema/authors/links. Low effort, recovers earned rankings. Phase 2 — Cluster anchors (Month 2–4): Publish P3 Conscious pillar + 3 clusters; P4 Story pillar + 4 clusters. Phase 3 — Supporting (Month 3–6): P2 Denim & Fit Bible; P1 comparisons; P5/P6 occasion + celebrity clusters. Phase 4 — Ongoing ( evergreen): 2–4 posts/month on a rolling cadence; refresh pillars every 6 months.

10. Methodology & Caveats
- SERP ranking claims are from live web_search (India,
hl=en) captured 2 Sep 2026. Brand-domain presence was checked per query. - Search volumes are NOT reported — Serper.dev returned HTTP 400 "Not enough credits" this run; the skill's primary volume tool was unavailable. Demand is inferred from SERP competition (crowded listicle/publisher SERPs indicate proven demand) and must be confirmed with Google Search Console / Keyword Planner before budgeting. No volumes were fabricated.
- Blog inventory is from
blogs.xml(18 URLs) +blog.htmllisting; full-text of individual posts was not re-read beyond titles/dates/schema in the fetched HTML. - Schema/robot findings are from direct inspection of
blog.html,prodpage.html, androbots.txtin this workspace. - Competitor list is from
business-analysis.md§19 and live SERP observation; not an exhaustive crawl. - All strategic claims follow the skill's non-negotiables (evidence-based, no stuffing, E-E-A-T, brand-consistent, awareness-stage matched).
Deliverables: content-strategy.md (this file, source of truth) + content-strategy-standalone.html (styled, self-contained). Companion business context: business-analysis.md, pricing-data.csv, social-media.csv, traffic-estimation.md.
