Paid Media & Ads Intelligence — Koskii
Prepared: 27 August 2026 · Source: Meta Ad Library (public, country = India), Google Ads Transparency Center, manual SERP spot-checks. Collection date 27 Aug 2026. Confidence noted inline.
1. Snapshot
Koskii runs a high-intensity, full-funnel paid-social program that is live and sustained, not bursty. As of 27 Aug 2026 we confirmed ~110 active ads on Meta (Facebook + Instagram) and ~200 ads on Google under its verified legal entity AKYA RETAIL PRIVATE LIMITED — and the Google count holds even when filtered to the last 30 days, so this is current, not legacy. The brand is a performance-led full-funnel D2C advertiser with a disciplined A/B-variant testing habit and a strong seasonal offer calendar (Rakhi → festive → wedding), leaning on youth-trend and occasion-craftsmanship messaging. Headline finding: spend and creative volume are both heavy, but the ads are almost entirely English-only, product/offer-driven, and COD-friendly — meaning the biggest unlocked levers are regional-language creative, prepaid/RTO incentives, and heritage/brand-story framing that competitors like Manyavar already use.
2. Creative Strategy
Across the 63 Koskii ads sampled from Meta (a representative slice of the ~110 live), creative breaks down as follows:
Hook-type distribution (share of sampled Meta ads):
- Feature/spec-led (fabric, weave, zari, "Banarasi Archive", "Chanderi Collection"): 27%
- Aspirational / lifestyle ("Be Fully You", "Main Character Energy", "Dressed for the Moment"): 24%
- Social proof / UGC ("Rakhi Gifts", "Loved by 1,00,000 customers", "Worth the Hype"): 21%
- Urgency / scarcity ("flying off our shelves", "selling out fast", "Limited stock"): 11%
- Offer-led ("#TrendsetterAlert… Flat 40% Off", "at just ₹1995"): 11%
- Benefits-led (Free Shipping / Easy Returns / Assured Quality bullet lists): 6%
Funnel-stage distribution:
- MOFU (consideration / collection + product storytelling): 73%
- BOFU (direct offer / cart-recovery): 22%
- TOFU (pure awareness): 5% — limited to three city-store geo ads (Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai "Visit Koskii Stores Now", CTA Learn More)
Read: This is not a bursty discount-blaster. It is a mature, MOFU-dominant catalog-advertising engine — the same proven product/collection creative is rotated across dozens of SKUs with structured variant testing (many ads show "2 / 3 / 4 ads use this creative and text" and "multiple versions"). A real (if light) retargeting layer exists: at least one explicit cart-abandonment ad — "Still deciding? Your order is waiting for you. Complete your checkout now." — confirms a structured recovery flow. TOFU is thin and is used only for offline store-drive, not brand awareness.
Representative examples (described, not quoted):
- The Banarasi Archive — a recurring MOFU collection ad ("Regal Weaves / Rich Zari Detailing / Wedding & Occasion Ready", CTA Shop Now) pointing to the Banarasi saree collection; one of the most-reused creatives in the set.
- #TrendsetterAlert — a Salwar Suit series that explicitly leads with the offer ("Flat 40% Off", "at just ₹1995") and a COD+Extra-5% badge; the clearest offer-led BOFU pattern.
- Rakhi Gifts by Koskii — a festive gifting series ("Not sure what to gift her this Rakhi? We've got you, brothers") aimed at brothers buying for sisters; peaks in the Aug Raksha Bandhan window.
- Dressed for the Moment / Be Fully You — short 14–21s video ads built around self-expression and occasion confidence, pointing to party-wear and statement-saree collections.
CTAs are almost uniformly Shop Now (product/collection) or Learn More (store-locator geo ads). No lead-gen / WhatsApp-CTA ads were observed in the sampled set despite WhatsApp being promoted on-site — a minor channel mismatch.
3. Offer & Testing Patterns
Offer architecture: Discounts are offered as sitewide badges rather than deep category-specific or new-customer-only mechanics. Observed offer hooks across the set:
- Flat 40% Off (#Trendsetter salwar suits) and Flat 30/50% Off (visible on resolved product pages)
- COD + Extra 5% Off — explicitly advertised on ~6 sampled ads (e.g. dress materials, salwar suits, sarees under 5000)
- Free Shipping — near-universal badge
- "Best Price Promise" and "sarees under 5000" — price-anchoring language in body copy
Discount trend: Koskii is running a stable, mid-depth discount (flat 30–50% + COD incentive) consistently from Nov 2025 through Aug 2026 — no visible escalation or de-escalation across the window. This signals a steady customer-acquisition posture rather than margin-pressure fire-sales.
Testing sophistication: structured. Multiple concurrent live variants per concept (same hook/offer running as 3–4 simultaneous creative versions), plus a long-lived creative pool (several ads started Nov 2025 and are still active 9+ months later). Long run-length on profitable ads + high concurrent-variant count = a mature, funded testing operation, not "set-and-forget."
Ad-tech note: Destination URLs carry utm_source=adyogi parameters, indicating Koskii runs its paid-social through Adyogi (a leading India D2C ad-automation platform) — consistent with catalog-driven, high-variant volume.
4. Paid Search Presence
Observed (manual SERP spot-checks, 27 Aug 2026):
- Branded terms dominate organically —
koskii sareesandkoskii lehengaboth return Koskii #1 organically (plus a Myntra marketplace listing and Pinterest/UGC). No Koskii paid slot was observed in these spot-checks. - Category terms (
salwar suits for women online, buy designer lehenga online india) are won by Biba, Flipkart, Nykaa Fashion, and niche boutiques — Koskii did not appear in the paid SERP for these in our checks. - Competitor-comparison term
kalki vs koskii lehengareturns Koskii organically (#1) with no paid defense ad bidding on the comparison.
Estimated: SpyFu / SimilarWeb modeled paid-keyword counts could not be retrieved in this environment (tooling wall), so no modeled figure is presented rather than guessed.
Category baseline (directional only, NOT brand-specific): fashion/apparel D2C non-brand CPC in India typically runs ₹5–25, branded ₹2–8.
Read: Koskii appears to be under-invested in Google Search / Shopping paid, relative to its heavy Meta + Google Display/YouTube footprint. Google Ads Transparency shows ~200 ads (Display/YouTube/Shopping likely), but the brand is not defending its branded terms or competing on high-intent category keywords in paid Search — an acquisition gap, since rivals (Biba, Nykaa) own those paid slots. With Google presence confirmed via Transparency Center, the missing piece is specifically paid Search text defense, which Transparency Center under-covers for small advertisers.
5. Country-Market Adaptation (India)
Tier: Partial. Koskii addresses some India-specific signals well and misses others entirely.
- Payment flexibility — partial / counter-category. Free Shipping is universal. COD is actively promoted ("COD+Extra 5% Off") rather than discouraged — this is the opposite of the category norm, where funded D2C brands push prepaid incentives / no-cost EMI to cut COD-related Return-to-Origin (RTO) risk. Koskii is increasing COD exposure, not reducing it. No UPI-cashback and no no-cost-EMI lever appears in any sampled ad.
- Regional language — absent. All 63 sampled ads are English-only. No Hindi, Kannada (notable — Bengaluru HQ), Tamil, Telugu, or other regional variants were observed, despite ethnic-wear demand being strongest in tier-2/3 Hindi- and vernacular-speaking markets. This is the clearest country-adaptation whitespace.
- RTO-consciousness — indirect, weak. The only RTO-relevant signal is the COD promotion itself; there is no prepaid-incentive, order-confirmation-call, or size-guide/fit-confidence messaging in the sampled ads. (Actual RTO rate is not observable from public ads.)
- Festival / sale calendar — structured. Ad start dates cluster hard around Raksha Bandhan (Aug 2026) — a large Rakhi-gifting burst (Rakhi Gifts, Sister-approved, Bring the Rakhi Glow, Festive BlingBox). Earlier waves map to wedding/festive seasons (Nov 2025 lehenga/wedding launches; Jul 2026 Banarasi/Chanderi festive weaves). This is a deliberate, structured seasonal calendar, not flat year-round volume.
6. Ad-to-Landing-Page Message Match (CRO Bridge)
We checked 7 representative ads (highest-confidence, highest-longevity, varied funnel stage) by resolving each CTA to its live landing page. Overall: strong match rate (6 of 7 Strong, 1 Partial). This is a conversion strength, not a leak — the ad promise is consistently honored on the destination.
| Ad (theme) | LP reached | Copy / Visual / Offer |
|---|---|---|
| #Trendsetter Flat 40% Off → salwar PDP | Product PDP | Strong / Strong / Strong — PDP shows "Flat 40% Off" + "Flat 50% Off" sale badges |
| "Sarees under 5000" → ₹2,392 saree PDP | Product PDP | Strong / Strong / Strong — price claim honored, SALE badges present |
| Banarasi Archive → banarasi-saree collection | Collection page | Strong / Strong / Strong — themed continuity exact |
| COD+Extra 5% → dress-material PDP | Product PDP | Strong / Strong / Partial — COD honored + sale badges, but "Extra 5%" applied at checkout, not visibly on PDP |
| "Still deciding? Complete checkout" (retargeting) → ₹2,392 saree PDP | Product PDP | Strong / Strong / Strong — resolves to the exact abandoned product |
| Gift-themed → gifting-seasons collection | Collection page | Strong / Strong / Strong — gift/festive content matches |
| Hyderabad store "Learn More" → store locator | /account/store-locator | Strong / Strong / Strong — locator names Hyderabad stores |
CRO implication (for the landing-page audit phase): message-match is not the leak — the leak is offer transparency. The recurring "Extra 5% Off" / "Flat X% Off" promises are honored at checkout rather than surfaced on the PDP, which can suppress add-to-cart intent for deal-sensitive shoppers. Making the discount visible on the PDP (not just in the ad and at checkout) is the highest-value CRO fix this analysis surfaces.
7. Whitespace & Recommendations
Named, specific gaps — in priority order:
- Regional-language creative (highest-impact whitespace). All ads English-only. Launch Hindi + Kannada (Bengaluru) + Tamil/Telugu variants of the top-performing salwar/lehenga/saree creatives with geo-targeting to capture tier-2/3 demand the category is built on.
- Flip the COD posture / add prepaid levers. Promoting "COD+Extra 5% Off" raises RTO exposure. Test a prepaid-incentive framing ("Prepay & save extra 5%") and add no-cost EMI / UPI cashback to widen ticket-size acceptance on bridal/lehenga (₹5k–40k) SKUs.
- Defend branded + win category Search. Koskii is absent from paid Search on both its own branded terms and high-intent category terms (Biba/Nykaa own them). Stand up Google Search + Shopping defense on
koskii*and category terms ("designer lehenga", "sarees online") — cheap insurance against rivals bidding on its name. - Deepen the retargeting layer. Only ~1 explicit cart-abandonment ad observed in 63. Build a structured retargeting stack: view-content, add-to-cart, checkout-abandon, and post-purchase/birthday — the highest-ROI, lowest-creative-cost expansion available.
- Activate founder / 150-yr heritage storytelling. Competitors (Manyavar-Mohey) win on heritage emotion; Koskii's ads are pure product/offer. A TOFU founder/heritage series would balance the MOFU-heavy mix and build margin-protecting brand equity.
- Extend the wedding basket to groom/kids. No men's ethnic-wear ads despite the catalog gap noted in the business analysis; "couple shopping" wedding demand is left to competitors.
- Make offers PDP-visible. Surface the "Extra 5% Off" / flat-discount promise on the product page, not only in the ad and at checkout (see §6).
8. Methodology Note
Data collected 27 Aug 2026 from Meta Ad Library (keyword "Koskii", country = India — ~110 active results; 63 ads extracted and tagged as a representative sample, plus one noise ad from "Phoenix Mall of Asia" keyword spillover excluded) and Google Ads Transparency Center (domain koskii.com → verified advertiser AKYA RETAIL PRIVATE LIMITED, ~200 ads, confirmed current via last-30-days filter). Paid-search presence was cross-checked with manual SERP spot-checks on branded, category, and competitor-comparison terms. Spend and performance figures are proxies from public signals, not platform-reported data: active-ad counts, creative longevity, and variant volume drive the spend-intensity tier; Meta did not surface a directly-observed 12-month cumulative-spend figure in this pass, so the ₹15–40 Lakh/mo Meta estimate (carried from the business-analysis pass) remains modeled, not measured. Google Display/YouTube/Shopping volume is confirmed but unquantified. All ad-level observations (copy, CTA, start date, destination URL) are directly observed and tagged high-confidence; category CPC ranges are directional baselines, not brand-specific.
